Want to know what you'll get out of the Bloody Bootcamp? Here is a breakdown:
- Learn to sculpt, mold, and cast your very own prosthetic wound.
We'll go through all the steps of sculpting the wound, creating a plaster mold, and casting a gelatin prosthetic. You'll take home everything you make, as well as a basic sculpting kit, plaster of paris, any leftover clay, and extra gelatin to make more at home.
- Learn to make fake blood! We'll do a mouth safe, and flow blood recipe to meet all your bloody needs.
We'll make both recipes, teach you how to vary the colour and consistency, and send you home with a bottle of each.
- Build a blood spray/ flow rig.
In this portion we will learn to build a blood spray rig out of a garden sprayer and some cheap materials from the hardware store. This rig will allow you to do arterial spray, fast flowing blood, and slow pooling blood. You'll take home the rig you build!
- Learn to apply, and colour Tinsley transfers.
A Tinsley is a series of prosthetics that come in a variety of options for giving your actors burns, cuts, wounds, swollen eyes and more. This portion will send you home with extra transfers, some basic make up supplies (prosthetic glue, make up remover, application tools), and a Ben Nye make up pallet.
The goal of the Bloody Bootcamp is to give you a basic foundation to go out and make some gruesome effects in your films, or simply up your Halloween game!
